Vin Diesel’s ‘XXX 3’ Official Synopsis Revealed, Get Details Here

We are going to see a lot of Vin Diesel on silver screen this year, the following year and the years after. Apparently, the actor will not only star in the highly-anticipated trilogy of the Fast and Furious franchise but will also lead the third movie of the XXX series currently titled as XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage.

This will be under the direction of D.J. Caruso. Luckily, Paramount decided to shower us with some love this Valentine's and finally released XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage's first official synopsis. Now, we will finally have something solid about the movie.

The third explosive chapter of the blockbuster franchise that redefined the spy thriller finds extreme government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) coming out of self-imposed exile and on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments.

The movie is currently filming in Toronto, Canada and will move to a new location somewhere in the Dominican Republic at a later date.

There are returning characters and we will also be seeing a lot of new faces in this installment too -- including Jet Li. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Li will be a leader of his own team and will square off against Diesel. It is not for sure though if he will be a villain or not.

Apparently, XXX 3 also added some hot ladies to its cast. Actress Toni Collete is in the movie, together with Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, Vampire Diaries' Nina Dobrev and Ruby Rose of the Orange is the New Black. It looks like Vin Diesel also likes having UFC fighters in his movies, as according to Yahoo! Sports, Conor McGregor agreed to join the cast of XXX 3.

As for the returning characters, it is already confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson is still in as Agent Gibbons and Ice Cube has also been rumored to be returning.

XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage is set for release on 2017.
