Wiz Khalifa has filed suit against It's My Party, Inc. for canceling a concert that the stoner rapper was going to perform, according to TMZ. How much does Wiz think that concert is worth? According to the lawsuit, 1 Million Dollars Cash.
It's My Party, Inc booked Khalifa for a concert at George Mason University. The terms of the contract said that Wiz was entitled to $85,000 plus a cut of the profits from the show. The show fell through and Wiz never received any compensatiob.
How did Wiz arrive at the $1 million figure. The "Remember You" rapper claims that the concert cancellation severely and irreparably damaged his reputation.
It's My Party claims that the ticket sales for the 7,000 seat arena were atrocious and that they never agreed to that contract, so they are not obligated to pay one red cent.
Khalifa became a household name after a string of mixtape appearances and two solid solo mixtapes (2006's Show and Prove and 2009's Deal or No Deal). He signed to Atlantic before releasing Rolling Papers and O.N.I.F.C.
He is currently engaged to model Amber Rose and the couple recently had their first son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz in February.
What do you think? Does It's My Party owe Wiz Khalifa $1 million? Is it the concert cancellation or his recent output that has damaged his reputation?
