It looks like country singer Josh Turner has found himself in the same position as some of the other animal hunters that have come before him, as he has posted a picture of himself killing a wild hog on his social media sites. While it was Walter Palmer, an American dentist, who found himself thrown into a media frenzy after he posted a picture with his kill, a lion named Cecil, it seems that Turner is in the same situation now.

Many may know the 38-year-old singer from his hits, "Time is Love," and "Getting You Home," but it is his trademark low voice that many associate him with. Well now, it looks like other will have something else to associate with him now, as many animal lovers are in an uproar after this picture went viral earlier today, February 12.

"The overwhelming majority of people today have condemned the Walter Palmer-style trophy hunters of the world, yet here's Josh Turner grinning over an animal's still-cooling body," Lisa Lange, PETA Senior Vice President explained to Radar Online. "It took four grown men to lift this majestic animal's corpse, but it takes a truly small person to gun down a living being just for a thrill."

It seems that the hunt is actually going to be used as part of a TV program for Outdoor Channel, according to Outdoor Channel. Turner teamed up with former football player Mike Pawlawski for the channel's series Gridiron Outdoors, which will make it way to the air on Valentine's Day.

"What an exciting day. Mike and the guys were great to hunt with and this hog is incredible," Turner explained of hunting the boar, according to Country Weekly. "They say he's in the top 1% of what they see as far as sizes goes. It took four grown men to hoist him onto the tailgate."
