'Daredevil' Season 2 SPOILERS: Frank Castle/The Punisher Taunts Matt Murdock In Teaser Trailer

The second season of Daredevil will find Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock encountering a completely new nemesis in The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal, who will play the merciless vigilante Frank Castle. A new teaser trailer has just been released for Daredevil Season 2, and it sounds like The Punisher already knows a lot about the Man With No Fear!

The new teaser was released by the official Daredevil Twitter account in preparation for the actual full-length trailer, and although Cox and Bernthal are not featured in the promo, it definitely builds up anticipation with simple yet meaningful visuals. The teaser opens with the Daredevil's mask which slowly transforms into The Punisher's iconic symbol as Frank says, "You know, you're one bad day away from being me."

There is little doubt that Bernthal is the right man to portray The Punisher, as even The Walking Dead executive producer Gale Anne Hurd couldn't stop gushing about the Fury actor getting the role. Hurd recently spoke to ComicBook.com, where she admitted that the show can't possibly get a better Punisher.

"I can't imagine a better Frank Castle, to bring the Punisher to life on Netflix," Hurd said. "I just can't."

Hurd also revealed that she had already seen Bernthal in action and is in awe of what she has seen.

"I saw Jon while he was shooting last year, and he's an incredibly committed actor," she said. "He's able to find the sort of darkness that Frank Castle needs."

In addition to the Sicario star's performance, the executive producer confirmed that Bernthal's looks were a perfect fit for The Punisher.

"Depending on who was drawing Frank Castle at the time, he also can look very much like some of the Frank Castles," Hurd said. "I love the Garth Ennis version and I haven't read the script so I'm not quite sure where they're going, but I know in terms of that dark, grounded and gritty Frank Castle that no one is better."

The new full trailer for Daredevil Season 2 will be released on February 15.
