One of the best-selling computer games of all time, Capcom's Street Fighter V, was released Feb. 16 and the reviews are in.

Some reviewers, like Event Hubs, have called it "gorgeous" while others claimed it's "near perfect," citing elements the game lacked while highlighting its strengths.

With 16 fighters, fresh game rules and new environments, Street Fighter V has been designed with the goal of luring in new fans and tapping into the lucrative eSports market.

The Event Hubs review described the graphics as "slick" and lauded the other graphical elements stating, "crisp character models stand at the forefront of beautiful backdrops with vibrant colors and effects. The ol' world warriors have never looked better."

The review also mentioned that the characters are "diverse" and old fans will be happy to see "returning fan-favorites, as well as promising newcomers: Necalli, Laura, Rashid, and F.A.N.G."

And as for the story mode? One of the main points of this latest Street Fighter release is that it comes with a fresh story mode that includes descriptions on why each of the characters choose to fight, giving each character more dimension.

The staff of VG247, however, provided a more balanced review about the hit franchise, calling it "brilliant and frustrating." The review pointed out how SF5 has all the makings of being "one of the best fighting games ever made" but somehow the game feels "unfinished", despite its "near-perfect foundation".

And to reiterate the less-than-perfect yet great review SF5 garnered from most sites, major computer game reviewer IGN has given it a total grade of an 8.0 or "Great".

IGN's comments echoed that of VG247 when it said that the SF5 is "an excellent fighting game that's missing too many features."

SF5 is rated T for Teen. It's available for both PC and PlayStation 4.
