It seems like Illumination Entertainment, the studio that brought us Despicable Me and Minions, has something big for us again this year. Its newest animated movie, Sing, just released its first trailer and trust me, it's going to be pretty entertaining. With animals voiced by famous actors singing hit pop songs and a plot that would surely make us laugh, we are in for a great Christmas treat!

Sing is an animated movie that revolves around a world wherein animals go to work, talk and well, they sing - pretty much like how normal people do. Looking at the trailer, flyers about a singing contest were accidentally distributed to anyone in the city. Certain animals, characters rather, are shown in the footage. There's this koala named Buster Moon who's looking for the next singing star to help his once-grand theater be back on track, a sheep singing Seal's A Kiss From A Rose, a pig singing Lady Gaga's Bad Romance and bunnies singing and dancing to Nicki Minaj's Anaconda.

Moreover, the movie features amazing voice cast including top-notched actors such as Academy Award Winners Matthew McConaughey (as Buster Moon) and Reese Witherspoon (the mother pig), Seth MacFarlane (the mouse), Tori Kelly (a teenage elephant), Taron Egerton (as the gorilla) and Scarlett Johansson (as a porcupine). This will not be the first time Witherspoon lend her voice to an animated character since she'd been involved with DreamWorks' Monsters vs. Aliens.

With cuteness added one cannot resist with a highly entertaining plot, this critic think this movie will not disappoint. Plus, the characters will obviously sing more songs throughout the entire competition. Who knows, one character might even make a cover of your favorite song!

Garth Jennings wrote Sing's script aside from directing it himself.

This animated film is set for release on December 21, perfect for the Yuletide season!
