5 Examples Why 'KUWTK' Season 11 Kim/Khloe/Kris Kardashian Women & Athletes End Badly

The Kardashian women have a lot in common including the successful reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, a successful business and of course successful derrieres.  However, Kim Kardahian West, Khloe Kardashian and mother Kris Jenner have something else in common; they've all been in relationships with professional athletes. 

Unfortunately, unlike their previous ventures, the latter has not proved successful. Call it coincidence, but for whatever reason, when a Kardashian and a sports figure get together, it rarely ends well.  Here are 5 examples. 

5) Khloe Kardashian and James Harden

Reality star Khloe Kardashian recently split from NBA player James Harden.  The 31-year-old Kocktails with Khloe host began dating the 26-year-old Houston Rockets' shooting guard last summer. Unfortunately a strain was put on the relationship just a few months later when Khloe's ex-husband Lamar Odom, was hospitalized.

4) Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush

The NFL running back was with the New Orleans Saints when he met Kim at the ESPY Awards in 2007. Ironically, the romance coincided with the beginning of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality craze.  Even more ironic, Kim's sex tape with singer Ray J was released during the relationship.  Reportedly the embarrassment was too much for Bush and his family to deal with so after an on-again-off again ordeal, Bush finally ended things with the reality star in March 2010.    

3) Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries

Kim's relationship with the NBA player played out on KUWTK.  The current Washington Wizard was with the New Jersey Nets when he began courting Kim in October of 2010.  By May 2011, Humphries had popped the question and the media blitz was on.  Their wedding became the E! Channel's biggest ratings bonanza.  Sadly, 72 days later it was over. Perhaps due to public statements by Humphries, he claims that once Kim had kids her fans wouldn't care about her anymore.  Humphries demanded millions in their divorce settlement, which was finalized in June 2013.  Some claim it was all a publicity stunt and if that was the case, it obviously worked.

2) Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom

The youngest of the Kardashian sisters married the aforementioned Odom in September of 2009.  She then divorced the Los Angeles Laker in December 2013.  Last October the 36-year old NBA forward ended up in coma at a Nevada brothel.  Rumor has it by coming to his aid, Khloe put her relationship with James Harden in peril. 

1) Kris Jenner and Bruce / Caitlyn Jenner

Although her daughters have a couple of ex-husbands, their mother has the distinction of being the only female Kardashian with an ex-wife.  After divorcing Robert Kardashian senior (aka, the lawyer that helped O.J. Simpson beat a murder wrap), Kris married the former Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete in 2001.  They had two daughters together, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner.  Unlike her offspring, Kris managed to stay married to her then husband for over twenty years.  Regrettably, they separated in October 2013, divorced in December 2014 and now Bruce is Caitlyn.
