Dale Earnhardt Jr. Joins Forces with Goodyear as Daytona 500 Gets Closer

With the Super Bowl and The Grammy Awards over, you must be wondering what to watch this weekend while you wait for The Oscars next weekend. Look no further, buckle in and get back into sports mode with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Goodyear and NASCAR's Daytona 500 this Sunday at 1 p.m.

As we approach the much anticipated Daytona 500 one of the most successful and popular drivers of the past 13 years, Earnhardt Jr. has announced that he will be partnering with The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company as the expert who chooses Goodyear tires on and off the track. Not only can you watch him race Sunday, you can also catch up with him in a series of ads that will broadcast live and in print.

Not only is this a great opportunity for Earnhardt Jr. to speak about his love for Goodyear's products, Goodyear is extremely happy to be welcoming Earnhardt Jr. as the ambassador for their products this year.

"We are pleased to work with one of the premier experts in the sport to showcase Goodyear in a compelling and engaging way," said Seth Klugherz, Goodyear's director of marketing. "Dale Jr. is a true icon and superior brand ambassador."

In his upcoming television spot Earnhardt Jr. speaks deeply about his connection with Goodyear and in a heartfelt message highlights their involvement with NASCAR.

This year Earnhardt Jr. will be going for his third Daytona 500 win and has earned most of his highest racing achievements using Goodyear tires.

"We've already had a relationship due to the confidence that I have in Goodyear tires on the track with the 88 car and on the street with my own personal car," said Earnhardt Jr. "There's a huge trust factor that we've had for a really long time, so this feels like a continuation of something that has been going on for a while."
