Keanu Reeves' 2014 ridiculous action film John Wick, an ode to how angry a man who has lost his dog and car can get, is officially getting a sequel, scheduled for the early days of 2017. The film, which will be entitled John Wick: Chapter Two, will be set in Rome, where the ex-hitman will probably try to lead a quiet life once again only to be stopped by a thirst of revenge.

According to Exhibitor Relations, the John Wick sequel will reach theaters everywhere on Feb. 10, 2017, so unfortunately fans will have to wait almost an entire year to see Reeves going medieval on the Italian capital.

Still, the sequel promises to be as bloody and absurd as its predecessor, which saw Reeves going after Game of Thrones actor Alfie Allen and killing half the Russian mafia in the process.

In the original film, Wick he dealt with mourning the recent death of his wife plus the theft of his car and murder of the puppy she had left him -- how? Hunting down members of the Russian mafia and making them pay for everything that was wrong with their lives. When finding out Wick was after his son, Michael Nyqvist's character told a story of how John had once killed three men at a bar only armed with a pencil, and that's certainly a man to be reckoned with.

After killing the better part of the first movie's cast, there aren't really that many returning characters in the sequel, though John Leguizamo will be coming back, along with The Wire actor Lance Riddick, Bridget Moynahan and Ian McShane.

According to Collider, Chapter 2 will also be filled with some of Hollywood's biggest stars, including Orange is the New Black alum Ruby Rose, rapper Common, Peter Stormare and, even more excitedly, Laurence Fishburne, who famously co-starred with Reeves in The Matrix trilogy.
