Actor Ronit Roy's ingenuity isn't new in the industry. From films to television, he has shown equal enthusiasm towards both the arenas. Apart from portraying a positive character, Roy has been appreciated for enacting dark shade in films. His skills and passion towards films have helped him bag a negative role in Rakesh Roshan's produced film, Kaabil.

According to the latest reports by Spotboye.com, Roy has been signed to portray the role of a baddie in the revenge drama which will be directed by Sanjay Gupta. The actor has also portrayed negative roles in films like Boss and Guddu Rangeela and received laurels for it.

Kaabil features actor Hrithik Roshan and Yami Gautam in the lead role. Apart from Roy, the film also stars actor Sonu Sood and Girish Kulkarni. Talking about the film's cast and crew, producer Rakesh was quoted by skybollywoodnews as:

"My brother Rajesh Roshan will do the music, as usual. The cinematography is by Sudeep Chatterjee and the sound design is by Resul Pookutty."

The shooting of the film has not yet begun, but it has already been surrounded by controversy. Model-actor Sudhanshu Pandey accused Roshan and Gupta of using his script Farmayish and renaming it as Kaabil. However, while refuting all the rumors about them stealing Sudhanshu's story, Rakesh was quoted by Bollywood Hungama as saying:

"Sanjay Gupta narrated a story written by Vijay Mishra which both Hrithik and I liked. It is something Hrithik has not done before. It is in the thriller genre. But it's different, and yet mainstream, somewhat like the films that I direct which are messy and yet removed from the expected. And very different from whatever has been attempted so far in a genre."

The story of the film revolves around visually impaired characters, played by Gautam and Roshan, and it moves ahead as Roshan intends to take revenge for his girlfriend's rape and murder. The film has a three-month schedule and the shoot is likely to begin in April.

Kaabil is slated to release on January 26, 2017.
