The 88th Academy Awards will probably go down as the most controversial in the award show's history.  The #OscarsSoWhite issue was tackled head on by host Chris Rock in both his opening and throughout the show.  Of course along the way we saw Spotlight win for Best Picture and Mad Max: Fury Road win for almost everything else.  

We also saw Alicia Vikander win for Best Supporting Actress for The Danish Girl, Brie Larson win for Best Actress for Room, Mark Rylance win Best Supporting Actor (in what some are calling an upset) for Bridge of Spies and of course Leonardo DiCaprio win Best Actor for The Revenant.

7) "Jada boycotting the Oscars is like me boycotting Rihanna's panties, I wasn't invited."

Chris Rock's opening monologue addressing Jada Pinkett Smith's boycott of this year's lack of diversity.

6) "The winners of this category, all they have is this Oscar and they're going home in a civic."

While presenting the Oscar for Best Documentary Short, Louis CK discusses the financial differences between the winners of that category and winners of other categories.
