There have been rumors about George Miller taking the helm in a future DC film since last year, but the Mad Max: Fury Road director has continuously denied the speculations. Now it looks like Miller might not actually be directing Man of Steel 2, but producing the first Justice League film! How much of it is true? Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star Henry Cavill might have the answer!

Cavill recently attended the Academy Awards, where he spoke to MTV at the red carpet.

The Man of Steel star confirmed that he has already read the script for Justice League - Part 1 but is not allowed to share any secrets.

"I can tell you nothing," he said firmly. Although Cavill firmly refused to share any details about the movie, he did divulge that he is excited for being a part of the superhero films.

"We're talking about Justice League here, so this is the DC Cinematic Universe is finally getting its chance to really grow in this one, and I think all the characters are fantastic," he said, although he didn't specify which DC heroes will appear in the film.

"I'm looking forward to being a part of that whole gig," Cavill concluded.

But does the actor know if the Mad Max director will produce Justice League - Part 1? He had a fairly safe response.

"I have heard nothing so far," Cavill admitted.

Although it might be an excellent move for DC to bring in Miller to direct the sequel to Man of Steel, the director had previously indicated that he would rather focus on smaller projects after the success of Fury Road.

It may still be a long way before the Justice League films hit theaters, but fans can still see Cavill as Clark Kent in Batman v Superman this month. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. actor also confirmed that although Kal-El is decidedly more powerful, Ben Affleck's Caped Crusader just might find his weakness.

"We've got to consider Superman's approach to everything. He loves humanity. He loves human beings. He doesn't want to hurt them, and so Batman has an immediate advantage with that," Cavill said.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will premiere on March 25. Justice League - Part 1 will hit theaters on November 17, 2017 while Part 2 is scheduled for release in 2019.
