The world is definitely looking forward to seeing Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fans are not the only ones eager to see the Argo star become the Caped Crusader as even the former Dark Knight Christian Bale has expressed excitement over the film, despite what Bruce Almighty's Morgan Freeman has to say!

Bale recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight, where he weighed in on who was the best Batman ever.

"It depends on who you talk with," Bale said, quickly mentioning the popular TV Batman from the '60s. "You can't be Adam West, it just depends what you're in the mood for. I love watching Adam West."

Although Bale had a safe response about the best Batman, his The Dark Knight Rises costar Freeman had previously claimed that Affleck couldn't possibly top the Nolan-verse Batman. Nevertheless, Bale remained gracious and said he had high hopes for Batffleck.

"Everyone brings their own element to that -- Ben will do that as well," he said. "I think the trailers are looking great and I'm looking forward to that."

However, Bale didn't stop there. He also commented on Freeman's statement.

"Right on for Morgan for saying no one will ever be that, I very much like him," he said.

Freeman had previously stated that there won't be a better Batman after Bale, who played the DC superhero in all three of Nolan's Caped Crusader films.

"You know, I'm happy for Ben, but I don't know how that's gonna work," Freeman told Entertainment Tonight. "Because the Dark Knight was almost 'it.' Pretty much 'it.' Did you see Batman Begins? I don't think you can beat that."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is directed by Zack Snyder and also stars Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Jesse Eisenberg. The film will hit theaters on March 25.
