Actress Sonam Kapoor Wants Ranveer Singh To Play Lead in Anil Kapoor's Biopic? [WATCH]

Biographical films have evolved as a trend in the Bollywood. Recently, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani announced his plans of making a biopic on actor Sanjay Dutt. As the news became the talk of the town, actress Sonam Kapoor, during an interview, was quizzed about the probability of a biopic on her father, actor Anil Kapoor. She thinks that Ranveer Singh will be the perfect actor to enact her father.

Content with the possibility of a biopic on Anil, the actress shared that though her father has worked quite hard to establish himself both in Bollywood and Hollywoo. It would be too soon to make a biopic since he still has many more things to achieve. In a conversation with DNA India, Sonam stated that her father has an incredible story about his struggle in the film industry.

"There's so much more of his life left to be lived before something is made on him. Sometimes, I feel biopic should be made on people when they finish doing what they have to do."

When asked about the actor she would want to portray her father in a biopic, Sonam was prompt in replying Ranveer that she believes he has a similar oomph factor like Anil.

Besides, justifying her opinion regarding the biopic on Dutt, Sonam clarified that Sanjay has encountered many ups-and-downs in his life that the people would want to know. However, he still has a long way to go in the industry and has chances of achieving more.

Sonam was recently seen in the biopic Neerja in which she played the titular role. Raja Sen from Rediff.com stated that in Neerja, Sonam is as exceptional as the real Neerja Bhanot.

On the other hand, Anil wants both Ranveer and Sonam to team up and work on a project together. During the Colors Golden Petal Awards show, Anil was quoted by Bollywood Life as responding:

"I would want that Ranveer and Sonam work together. I feel they can really do something special because they know each other since many years. I think someone should cast them together."
