Things might be changing for the Marvel sequel Thor: Ragnarok -- although it has finally been confirmed that Mark Ruffalo will appear as the Hulk and Cate Blanchett will play the villainess in the film, Blindspot star Jaimie Alexander might not be coming back as Sif!

Alexander recently spoke to ComicBookMovie.com, where she stated that she is not certain whether the Asgardian female warrior will return in the third Thor movie.

"I am not 100% sure at this moment," Alexander said before revealing that the Ragnarok storyline is somehow getting a rewrite that might leave Sif with a smaller role.

"I know that they're changing things with the script and that sort of thing, so I am literally in limbo. I know probably less than you do about it," she said, although she did admit that she is still hoping her character will appear in the film.

"I would love to do it, but whether or not it's going to work on my short hiatus from Blindspot I'm not sure," Alexander shared. "There could be a lot of factors when it comes to that decision."

The former Kyle XY star also confirmed that her love for playing Sif is one of the reasons why she agreed to have the character team up with Agent Coulson.

"If I get to play her again, it's absolutely gravy. That's why when Marvel asked me if I would cross the Thor films into Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., I said yes," Alexander revealed, adding that she enjoyed working on the show.

"I love Clark Gregg; he is a fantastic guy and that whole cast is wonderful. They're such a great, tight family over there and they're more than welcoming," she said. "I also got to explore more of who Sif really is, and play around with humor a little bit with her, which I didn't really get a chance to do in the films."

Thor: Ragnarok will be directed by Taika Waititi and marks the return of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder. The film is scheduled for release on Nov. 3, 2017.
