Production of Netflix's upcoming adaptation of A Series of Unfortunate Events keeps moving forward, and this time around, it's found its Lemony Snicket: Patrick Warburton! The Rules of Engagement actor will give life to the character Jude Law portrayed in the 2004 film, narrating the catastrophic lives of the Baudelaire children and joining Neil Patrick Harris's evil Count Olaf.

According to Deadline, Warburton, who's known for his live-action performances as well as his numerous voice acting roles, will serve as the series' narrator, though he will eventually appear on screen. In the books, Snicket serves as the story's narrator but it's known from an early moment that his life is somehow intertwined with that of the Baudelaires, though this isn't quite discovered until the last line of the last book.

Warburton is now the fourth official cast member of the upcoming project after Harris' turn as Count Olaf (the role Jim Carrey played in the film), Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire (Emily Browning) and Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire (Liam Aiken). It's not the first time Warburton has worked with executive producer Barry Sonnenfeld: the filmmaker was also involved in his short-lived 2001 comic book adaptation, The Tick, which is, coincidentally, about to get rebooted as well.

In any case, Coming Soon reports that so far, the Series of Unfortunate Events reboot has been set for a 13-episode eun. The project has been talked about for over a year, as Netflix first announced it in late 2014, but with the growing amount of original shows streaming on the site, it seems it got a little delayed.

The story follows Baudelaire orphans Violet, Klaus and Sunny, three attractive and talented children who are being chased down by an evil man by the name of Olaf, who'll go to great lengths and terrible costumes to get their inheritance. This will make them go on various adventures with different tutors, as they uncover mysteries about fires, secret organizations -- while Snicket narrates and talks about his lost lover, Beatrice.

Production and release details remain unclear at this point, but with the two mainstream cast members already on board, so far this sounds like an amazing adaptation of the books written by Daniel Handler.
