'Batman v Superman' Star Henry Cavill Talks About His Views on Clark Kent

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is right around the corner and fans are excited to see the clash of the two most beloved superheroes from the DC. In the upcoming film, Henry Cavill will reprise his role of Clark Kent aka Superman from Man of Steel and in a recent promotional event, he talked about his views on Kent's thinking and attitude in the upcoming film.

1978's Superman brought Christopher Reeve in the role of Kent and the film portrayed the Superman a little bit clumsy and had a comedic shade to the originally written character. On the other hand, Cavill's Kent is a lot different than the predecessor as he is a little extrovert. As reported by Screen Rant, during a recent promotional campaign, the 32-year-old star stated that the character which he has portrayed in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is very similar to the character created for the comics.

While talking with inSing TV, Cavill talked about Kent aka Superman and how the events shown in Man of Steel has affected his vision in the upcoming film. Cavill stated that after Man of Steel, Kent might be feeling a lot guilty as he has destroyed a lot of human property and accidently took a lot of lives in the process of saving the humanity from the grave danger.

"He (Kent) blossomed into the superhero that he was required to be. He met his station. However, this movie certainly makes Clark see the world in a different way, because he wasn't expecting ... or, he was hoping that half the world wouldn't suddenly hate him and fear him and want him destroyed or gone. But sadly, half the world did."

Cavill further stated that in Man of Steel, Kent's father told him many times that the world will never accept him as he is but that humans will hate him and will consider him as an antagonist.

"It's about him going through these growing pains of being a superhero. And making his errors and mistakes, and errors of judgement and action, and learning from it."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is going to release on March 19, 2016.
