Another season of The Bachelor has come to an end and we watch on with bated breathe to see if the newest relationship between Ben Higgins and Lauren B will last, but with the track record not looking so great, we aren't as optimistic as we wish we could be. There are a lot of things that go into a star studded Bachelor finale including a proposal and a huge Neil Lane engagement ring, but what happens to the ring if the romance fizzles out? Well that was a question that Bachelor host Chris Harrison answered recently.

According to Us Weekly, the men on the show have always picked out the most lavished rings for some of the ladies, which might be the highlight of their lives, but that doesn't mean that they get to keep the bling if the romance end.

Harrison explained to Entertainment Tonight that the rings mostly go back to the renowned jeweler if the couple splits after a few months, but should they last a couple years, then they get to keep them.

At first, he joked that he actually got to keep all the rings from the failed relationships, and that he had them all on one blinged out necklace, before revealing what actually happens to them.

"The rings I actually have at home," the host joked, according to The Inquistr. "They're on a necklace and I'll wear it around sometimes. I'll wear it out [and] I have, like, 20 different engagement rings."

He then explained what really happens to the rings when the couples break it off, saying that Lane gets them back, but might not know it.

"He just doesn't even know it," Harrison explained, adding, " There's some rule, after a certain number of years, you get to keep it anyway. But after months... it goes back."
