One of the classic tales of early cinema is coming back to life this year, as jungle reboot The Legend of Tarzan will hit theaters this summer!

On the recently released second trailer for the film, Alexander Skarsgard plays the feral man who now lives in London with his wife, Jane Porter (Margot Robbie) -- until he must go back to the jungle.

Warner Bros. recently released the terrifying trailer for the upcoming film, through the studio's YouTube channel. In it, we're shown the first bits of Tarzan's life, when his parents were killed off by apes in the jungle, who took the baby as their own and raised him.

According to Variety, the new film follows Tarzan after he's back in civilization, leading a "gentrified life." He's sent out to Congo alongside wife Jane to serve as an emissary in the country, but ultimately he's being used to exploit the resource-rich African nation.

Considering the history of European colonization in Africa, it seems unsurprising that the "villain" in the film would be a Belgian warlord, played by two-time Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz.

The film boasts an amazing cast besides Skarsgard and Robbie's lead characters: Waltz' fellow Quentin Tarantino actor Samuel L. Jackson is also around, as is Oscar-winning actor Jim Broadbent, plus Academy Award nominee Djimon Hounsou, who's apparently up for any blockbuster that comes his way these days, releasing this film barely two years after his role in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.

As Forbes reports, releasing the new trailer for Legend of Tarzan seems like a move from Warner Bro's. to cash in on its next big blockbuster, next week's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Coincidentally, Robbie is also part of the growing DC Cinematic Universe, as the Australian actress is set to play Harley Quinn in this summer's super-villain film Suicide Squad.

The Legend of Tarzan will be in theaters starting July 1.
