It is believed that Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in a biographical film enacting the role of an anti-terrorist squad (ATS) officer.

The myriad conceptual and realistic films in the Bollywood have undoubtedly raised the benchmark. And it seems that the AirLift actor is keen on giving the audience more on such films.

Titled as C 60, the film is based on the life of former ATS chief officer K P Raghuvanshi, who dealt with the Naxal issue in the Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra. He had formed the C 60 force, comprising 60 soldiers, to deal with the Naxal crisis. The film is being scripted by famous screenwriter Jalees Sherwani, who earlier penned the lyrics for prominent films like Tere Naam, Wanted, Dabangg and Dabangg 2.

During an interview with press trust of India, Sherwani talked about C 60 and stated that the team has not finalised any actor but the character is very much like those characters which Kumar has played in films like Baby, Special 26 and AirLift.

"We haven't zeroed in on any actor for the film yet. I think Akshay Kumar would be apt for the role of KP Raghuvanshi as he has that personality. We will take a decision regarding casting once the scripting is over."

At the very same time, film's producer, Manju Bharti is very much interested in working on this project as she is highly intrigued by the real life story of Raghuvanshi. Sherwani was quoted by Economic Times as:

"Producer Manju Bharti wanted to make a film on KP Raghuvanshi and the force that he formed to combat Naxalism. She found the story quite intriguing."

Currently, the team is busy finalizing the story and they are having meetings with Raghuvanshi to find out details which will help in portraying the story in an accurate way. The shooting for the film will commence by the end of 2016.

So far, there has been no confirmation from Kumar about the project. Kumar is currently lined up for various projects. He has been indulged into films exhibiting various genres. While comedy-genre Housefull 3 will be releasing on June 3, the crime-thriller film Rustom is scheduled for Independence Day. Other films in the pipeline include Robot 2, Oh My God 2 and Namastey England.
