Last week, former vice presidential hopeful and one-time Alaskan governor Sarah Palin took to her Facebook page to share her feelings on some problems around some companies that have received funding from the government. One company that Palin draws attention to, Tesla Motors, has recently been getting some slack from conservatives due to alleged battery problems with their cars, leading to expensive repairs. Palin also calls out Fisker Automotives for firing three-quarters of its employees despite the Department of Energy giving the company $200 million in funding. Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla Motors, did not seem to put off by Palin's remarks and used Twitter to vent his sarcasm.

"Once again, the American public lost when the Obama administration attempted to pick 'winners and losers' in the free market," Palin says to start her short essay on the current state of the government-backed electric car companies.

Here is an expert from Sarah Palin's Facebook post about Musk's automotive company:

This losing tax-subsidized venture joins other past losers like the Obama-subsidized Volt that gets 40 miles per battery charge, or like the Obama-subsidized Tesla that turns into a "brick" when the battery completely discharges and then costs $40,000 to repair.

This is really just the latest manifestation of the administration's crony capitalism as their green energy buddies benefit from this atrocious waste of taxpayer money. Americans really need to get outraged by these wasteful ventures. As we've seen time and time again, We the People are always stuck subsidizing the left's "losers."

In a sarcastic response to Mrs. Palin, Musk took to Twitter and posted:

Elon Musk has targeted Sarah Palin and other conservatives before. When his Tesla Model S was named Motor Trend's "Car of the Year" back in November of 2012, he reminded everyone that Mitt Romney once said that the government's investment in Tesla was a "loser."
