DC Entertainment changes the status quo in the New 52 Universe with Batman #50. This is the perfect opportunity to check out the return of Bruce Wayne as DC Comics' The Dark Knight from writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo.

As we previously mentioned, in Volume 8: Superheavy, the original Dark Knight was missing in action due to his epic confrontation with his arch-nemesis, the clown prince of crime. Though his wounds have healed, something was preventing the playboy millionaire from putting the Bat mantle back on. Because Gotham City needs a hero, ex police commissioner Jim Gordon had to step in as Batman. Unfortunately, this doomed city lays in ruins due to Mr. Bloom's destruction.

We have 5 reasons why you should read Batman #50 here:

5) A Familiar Face!

In the previous installment, Bruce Wayne finally regained his long-lost memories back. Bruce had forgotten the reason why he became the Dark Knight. It was the death of his parents that made Bruce want to fight crime and serve his own brand of justice.

4) Gordon vs Wayne?

We also mentioned, Jim's idea of Batman was to bring hope to the citizens of Gotham and bring back the idea that the system works. A lineup of good cops were trained to use the mechanical version of the Batman suit. But knowing the Batman will have to break the law, will Gordon step aside and let his best friend ruin what he started? Does hope fade away with the original Batman?

3) Mr. Bloom vs The Bat!

With The Slender Man urban legend mixed in with slasher movies, Snyder and Capullo created the terrifying Mr. Bloom. Using his powers, Mr. Bloom unleashes terror that Jim cannot stop on his own. Will the caped crusader join Gordon as they fight to save the city they love?Is two enough to take down Mr. Bloom?

2) What Happens To Julie Madison?

In issue #49, Bruce Wayne saw a future with his fiancee, Julie Madison. In their future together, Bruce and Julie had a child together. In order to become the Dark Knight, Bruce had to give up on being a husband and father. At the end of issue #50, the conclusion of Superheavy, where will Julie Madison go?

1) The Penultimate Issue!

As the creative team, Snyder and Capullo have brought together many memorable story arcs and captured unforgettable moments. It will be a truly sad farewell to see these two collaborators leave the Batman title. But at least, fans have the epic milestone and the follow-up, issue #51.

Batman #50 arrives in stores on March 22.

Readers, are you excited for Bruce Wayne's return?
