'Gilmore Girls' Netflix Revival Adds 'Parenthood' Cast: Mae Whitman Cameo with Lauren Graham!

Following her role as Lorelai Gilmore in the cult dramedy Gilmore Girls, Lauren Graham went on to become the TV mom of another young actress, Mae Whitman, on Parenthood, which ended its run last year. Now, as Graham shoots Netflix's revival Gilmore Girls: Seasons, it has been announced that her second TV daughter will also be joining Stars Hollow for a cameo!

TV Line reports that Whitman, a self-confessed fan of Gilmore Girls, will be appearing alongside her TV mom in a small cameo in the Netflix revival. While her role is being kept a secret, it's being reported that Whitman will share at least one scene with Graham and her appearance will "delight Parenthood fans."

The whole thing is just too Hollywood in the sense that it means a revival of one beloved show will hide a mini reunion of another one.

In any case, Gilmore Girls: Seasons is currently shooting in the Warner Bros. lot, and it seems every major member of the cast is returning for the encore, except for Melissa McCarthy, with whom series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino seems to have had a misunderstanding regarding schedules. There are also reports of a possible wedding taking place in the four-film revival, though it's unclear who'll be tying the knot, particularly considering all three of Rory's major boyfriends are returning.

According to Bustle, aside from Whitman, there's at least one other new cast member joining the revival: Tony Award-winning actress Sutton Foster, most famous outside of Broadway for her role as Liza Miller in Younger. Much like Whitman's, her role remains a total secret.

Other than cast member announcements and the fact that the revival will come in the form of four made-for-TV films, little is known about the Gilmore Girls revival, including possible release dates. Still, with every passing bit of news, the show gets more and more interesting!
