Teresa Giudice Husband Joe Starts Prison Sentence- Final Moments for 'RHONJ' Couple

It was a sad day in the Giudice house earlier this week, as the family was once again forced to say goodbye to a loved one when Joe Giudice headed off to prison. Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice might have just gotten released on December 23 and been reunited with her husband, but exactly three months following her exit from jail, she once again is being separated from her hubby.

According to Radar Online, Joe has reported to his correctional facility where he will spend the next 41 months for his sentence. However, if there is any shred of silver lining in this situation, Joe will be completing his term in the couple's home state of New Jersey. The 43-year-old reality star reportedly checked into Fort Dix in Jersey on March 23.

The news site reported that Joe waited until his daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Audriana and Milania, were all at school before making his trip to the prison, which is only a two-hour drive from the family home.

Another light in this situation is that Joe's attorney Miles Feinstein, revealed to NBCPhiladelphia.com that Giudice could actually get out of the facility early for good behavior, which would cut his sentence down to 35 months instead of 41.

Giudice spent the days leading up to turning himself in spending time with his friends and family who threw a going away celebration for the star, as well as one last romantic getaway for him and his wife.

"Only Joe's closest friends and family were invited," a source revealed of the party.

Additionally, according to The Hollywood Gossip, "Teresa and Joe went away to Virginia for the weekend. They just made it into a special weekend especially since Joe is leaving."

Fans of the Bravo stars will get to see how everything unfolds on the new season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, as Teresa will reportedly be spending the next few days filming.

"Teresa will be filming with her friends talking about Joe leaving and how it's effecting her," an insider explained.
