While the Internet has gone viral with the news of actress Sunny Leone slapping a journalist for asking obscene questions, Leone is uniformly shocked about how the fake news has surfaced. The actress and her husband, Daniel Weber, have shown disappointment about how the incident, which never happened, was reported.

Expressing her shock on the news report, Leone tweeted, "It's really a shame that Mid-day would not have the decency to fact check and call me. And rather print a story that is a lie! Shame on you!"

The news portal had reported that Leone had slapped a reporter in Surat, Gujarat, on March 24. The actress was in the city along with her husband to attend a Holi event.

Mid-Day claimed that at first, a drunk person entered into Leone's room and asked her odd favours. After he was moved out, during an interaction, the site next said that a reporter questioned Leone: "You were a porn star earlier, now you are a film star. So how much do you charge now?"

Leone asked the journalist to repeat his question, where he asked her how much she charges for night programmes. This apparently irked the actress and she slapped him. It had also quoted Weber, who claimed that the incident had occurred and the duo was quite upset about it.

Rubbishing the published story, Weber confirmed to The Indian Express, "There is not a single fact of truth to this. It's a shame that they did not fact check when someone just tells any random story. Even the quote is the complete lie. We have called him and proved he has lied."

He even clarified that there was no interaction with any media personnel during the event. Now that the story seems fake, it's outrageous when you realize how such bogus stories are being built up to on the basis of rumors.

Leone recently released the first look of her upcoming film, One Night Stand. The teaser of the film has also been released. Directed by Jasmine D'Souza, the film is slated to release on April 22.
