Kevin Smith may not be a huge fan of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but the Mallrats director is undoubtedly excited about the episode from The Flash Season 2 that he will be helming! Smith has just shared an Instagram image of his best friend and long-time collaborator Jason Mewes, who will be playing a villain alongside Zoom!

Smith posted the photo of himself, Mewes and Zoom with a lengthy caption explaining how the man who plays Jay, opposite his Silent Bob, was delighted about appearing in The CW show.

"As a longtime lover of everything that ever aired on @thecw, Jay was ecstatic to have scripted lines in one of his favorite shows (plus, he got to visit the @cw_arrow sets across the lot)," Smith wrote, adding that he also made sure his best friend could make an appearance as a Metahuman in the episode.

"I also found an opportunity to sneak #jaymewes into another scene as well - this time as a masked super villain," he wrote, revealing that playing the Metahuman reduced Mewes to tears of joy.

In addition to sharing kind words about Mewes, Smith also admitted that his friend was the reason why the director decided to watch Batman v Superman one more time. Smith confirmed that he actually enjoyed the film much more in the company of Mewes.

"I'd said the film didn't have any heart, but after the second viewing, I actually found the heart in #batmanvsuperman: it's in the viewer. And the viewer I watched the blockbuster with the second time was all agog, eyes as big as saucers," he wrote.

Smith is directing the 21st episode of The Flash Season 2, which is expected to air on The CW by the end of April.
