5 Easter Eggs From Chris Hardwick's The Talking Dead Season 6 Finale Episode On AMC!

AMC aired the Season 6 finale of The Walking Dead. This is the prefect opportunity to check out what was discussed between The Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick, actor Norman Reedus (Daryl Dixon), creator Robert Kirkman, showrunner Scott Gimple, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) in the latest episode, Last Day On Earth.

In our recent recap, with Maggie (Lauren Cohan)'s health, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the group needed to get her to the Hilltop community, but the roads were blocked by The Saviors. Arriving in the nick of time, Morgan (Lennie James) saved Carol (Melissa McBride) as he shot down her stalker. Finally captured by the Saviors, Rick and the others met with their leader, Negan. In the cliffhanger, Negan beat someone from Rick's team to death with his baseball bat, Lucille, but we don't know which one.

5) Bucket List!

Let's start off on a lighter note, shall we. Because there aren't a lot of horses in South London, Lennie James finally got a chance to ride one. In the wide shot, we clearly see James riding the horse across the street; a callback to the first season.

4) Straight From The Comics!

As transcribed by TV Line, Kirkman discusses introducing the Big Bad from the comics, "As upset as people probably are at Negan's introduction and how he's coming in and killing somebody who is very beloved to everyone," he said, "from his perspective, he's the hero of his story, like most villains. And if we'd been following him this whole time, we'd be 100 percent on board with that."

3) That Performance!

Usually when filming a one shot, actors usually film by themselves, talking to tennis balls.  The Walking Dead cast all participated in the filming in of Jeffrey Dean Morgan. With the coverage all on Morgan, he was able to react to their emoting. Even after a long day of filming, Reedus and Lincoln welcomed Morgan to the cast through texting.

You knew nothing bad was going to happen to Daryl, because AMC needs the actor to promote his show, Ride With Norman Reedus. The Blade 2 actor explained the concept behind his reality TV show as he gets to ride motorcycles.

1) A Very Special Episode!

With that cliffhanger, Gimple explains the upcoming Season 7, "We have to do an episode that justifies [the cliffhanger] to you. We have to do something so great and so intense that you're like, 'OK, all right, fair play.' That's the challenge that we have, and we're going to do it. We're going to deliver you something fantastic."
