DC Entertainment will release the milestone issue of Batgirl #50. This is the perfect opportunity for DC Comics readers to check out why they should pick up the must-have Barbara Gordon issue from writers Cameron Stewart, Brenden Fletcher, and artist Babs Tarr.

According to official plot synopsis, the 50th milestone issue happens to be an explosive and epic conclusion that will change Barbara Gordon forever! With the enemy lurking at the edges of Batgirl's life revealed, a gang of heroes have been assembled to help her. From this point on, Batgirl doesn't work alone in the extra-sized celebration of the greatest hero Burnside has ever known.

We have 5 reasons why you should read Batgirl #50 here:

5) End of An Era!

On his official Twitter account, co-writer Cameron Stewart (Fight Club 2) tweeted the news, "The double-sized Batgirl #50 is the last issue by me and @babsdraws. @brendenfletcher is on until issue 52!"

We thank the The Other Side artist for ushering in something new and fresh with the DC super-heroine. Not only did the creative team kickstart the the series from scratch, they brought introduced a new generation of fans to Batgirl.

4) They Always Topped Themselves!

In our MStars interview, Fletcher explained how the team has tried to top themselves with Batgirl of Burnside and Family Business, "I think that the second volume is going to be a great shift from what we were doing. It's sort of a natural outgrowth of what we've done with the first arc. The first arc was really clarifying a new direction for Barbara Gordon's life and for Batgirl.  The second volume is about her really being able to enjoy being Batgirl again.  And maybe exploring some major arcs for her supporting cast. It's going to be a very different feel."

3) That Cover!

In the tongue-in-cheek cover of issue #35, Batgirl can be seen in the ladies bathroom, taking a selfie while looking at herself in the mirror. In an homage to the first cover of the creative team, Tarr adds the supporting cast , including rock star Black Canary, to the group selfie.

2) A Great Read!

Not only does Batgirl kick butt, she also has a hilarious sense of humor. Stewart, Fletcher, and Tarr have always been on point, delivering a fun read issue after issue. I don't think with Stewart missing, the fun will be gone. I do think Tarr and Fletcher are going to continue being awesome!

1) Rebirth!

From here on out, story arcs are heading towards their conclusion before the DC Universe changes the status quo with Rebirth. After #50, I cannot wait to see how Tarr and Fletcher leave things off for the next creative team, Hope Larson and Rafael Alberquerque,  Will this issue begin the formation of Batgirl and The Birds of Prey?

Batgirl #50 arrives in stores on April 6, 2016.

Readers, are you excited to read Batgirl!
