Tisha Campbell and Duane Martin File for Bankruptcy: Couple Owes Over $15 Million

It looks like one of Hollywood's legendary couples is in some financial trouble. MStars News has learned that former Martin actress, Tisha Campbell, and her husband, Duane Martin, filed for bankruptcy. According to BET, the couple owes over $15 million.

If you ask the couple how much they do have, they only claim to have $313,000 in assets. The Daily Mail reported that the couple revealed that their monthly income is about $8,000, but their monthly bills are around $17,000. Campbell and Martin filed for bankruptcy on January 7th in US Bankruptcy Court in California.

As of today, they have $200 in cash on hand, and $173 in a credit union. It appears that the couple was spending and buying things that they couldn't afford. The Daily Mail listed a number of items that the couple splurged on and own, including a 2014 Range Rover, 1999 Kawasaki Drifter, 2004 Yamaha Scooter, 2016 Range Rover and 2016 Jeep Wrangler. Other items belonging to the couple include $15,000 in household goods, $2,500 in electronics, $2,500 in sports and hobby equipment, $1,000 in clothing and $2,500 in jewelry.

Court documents show that they owe $208,611 in tax debt and $113,000 for student loans. Right now, their bankruptcy is currently pending in Federal Court.

As for work, Martin has been appearing on the hit BET show, Real Husbands of Hollywood. Campbell has been working on new music.

Earlier this year, Campbell released a new rap song, "Lazy B**ch." Explaining her song, Campbell said: "There are those few people who don't understand the concept of building a good relationship in the workplace," she continued, "For me, people like Tasha Smith, Tichina Arnold, Vivica Fox we've been doing this a long time because we know how to operate. In this business, it's not about your fame. It's how you use your platform."
