Captain America: Civil War may have an ensemble cast, but there is little doubt that the most complicated character in the film is Steve Rogers' (Chris Evans) ex-best friend Bucky Barnes. The character, who has been played by Sebastian Stan in The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier, is expected to be "completely different" in the third Captain America movie!

Civil War directors Anthony and Joe Russo were recently live on their official Facebook page, where they spoke about the development in Stan's character in the film.

"Here's the fun thing about him in this movie to us: he isn't Bucky Barnes from the first movie," Anthony said of Stan's Marvel alter ego, adding that he is also a far cry from the assassin in Captain America 2.

"He isn't the Winter Soldier from the second movie," he said. "He's a completely different version of that character."

But who exactly is Stan playing in Civil War?

"Maybe, perhaps, it's a hybrid between the two in some way," Anthony mused, explaining that the character has gone through a lot in the last two Captain America films.

"How do you go from being a normal person to being a mind-controlled assassin to some life beyond that?" he asked before admitting that this will be revealed in Civil War.

"That's what we're exploring in this film, is where this character is left on a psychological level and how can Cap reconnect with that person in any way after he's had this experience as the Winter Soldier," Anthony stated before concluding that Civil War will be about Bucky finding himself and repairing his bond with Steve.

"That's at the heart of this movie -- who is Bucky, and can Cap ever have a relationship with him again?" he said.

It certainly sounds like Captain America 3 will be a buddy flick, but is there a possible romance for Bucky or any other character in Civil War? Although Joe decided to "plead the fifth on that one," Anthony had an exciting revelation.

"There may be a kiss in Civil War," he said.

Joe was quick to add, "There might not be," however Anthony persisted with a teaser.

"I guess you can't guess which characters it's between," he said.

Who do you think will share some lip-locking action in Civil War? Is it Steve and Sharon Carter, or should we expect things to get romantic between Captain America and the Winter Soldier? #Stucky? Yikes! Let us know in the comments.
