Things keep changing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Captain America: Civil War drawing near, and the first ABC show, Agents of SHIELD, is keeping up with the times -- sometimes, going quantum. As shown in the S03E15 recap with spoilers, last week worked around time being a different, inevitable dimension as an Inhuman who can see the future shows up -- all while Hive grows stronger.

At the beginning of the episode, we meet a new Inhuman, Charles (Bjorn Johnson), who calls to Daisy (Chloe Bennet). Upon a bit of research, the team finds out who he is and what his powers are: he can see into the future, and more specifically, he can see future deaths.

After touching Charles, Daisy gets a confusing vision: Lincoln (Luke Mitchell) with his face covered in blood, Coulson (Clark Gregg) shooting at her, Fitz-Simmons (Iain De Caestecker and Elizabeth Henstridge) holding hands in the snow. Shortly after seeing the vision, Charles is taken by HYDRA.

Of course, Daisy feels it's her responsibility to keep her fellow Inhuman safe, and she plans to lead the rescue mission. However, Fitz goes all science on the team and explains that she can't change the future because it's happening linearly even though she can't perceive it; still, Coulson, ever the optimist, opts to send May (Ming-Na Wen) instead.

The team practices May's entrance into the compound to perfection, and just as they get the intel of where they are ... Andrew (Blair Underwood) shows up, about to turn into Inhuman Lash for the last time and he wants to say good-bye to May.

Of course, Coulson makes May stay and there's a beautiful farewell scene where Andrew reveals he wouldn't do anything differently because she's been "the center of the best moments of [his] life."

After the circumstances forced a move, Daisy is the one who leads the rescue mission for Charles after all, and the rest of the episode is a long succession of "Fitz was right" moments.

In the meantime, Gideon Malick (Powers Boothe) has taken Grant Ward/Hive (Brett Dalton) to Transia, a tech company HYDRA is interested in. Through their usual tactics of fear and awfulness, they manage to get ahold of the company and kill everyone in the room, where they're keeping Charles and Malick is trying on a super-suit that makes him experience "true power," in Hive's words.

In any case, the team infiltrates the building and, in the security cameras, they catch Grant Ward, who's dead (with his corpse back in Maveth for all they know) -- secret's now officially out of the bag.

Daisy gets to Charles as everything she saw in the vision happens (though nothing meant what she thought), and he sacrifices himself for her by making Malick see a vision, presumably of his own death. Daisy then promises to take care of Charles' daughter.
