During the second night of the Marvel-themed week at Jimmy Kimmel Live, Benedict Cumberbatch, the star of Doctor Strange, showed up to present the first teaser -- and it's the grooviest thing on the Marvel Cinematic Universe! In the second film of MCU's Phase 3, Cumberbatch's surgeon Stephen Strange faces an accident that makes him unable to work -- but Tilda Swinton shows him a new, magical path.

Cumberbatch made a brief appearance on Kimmel's show last Tuesday to do a short sketch in character as Dr. Stephen Strange, correcting Kimmel and telling him he's not a "magician" working on children's parties but rather the Earth's Sorcerer Supreme. While the Oscar-nominated actor wasn't physically on stage (he's currently filming season 4 of Sherlock), it's still the first bit of him as the Marvel superhero!

After the short skit, Kimmel went on to introduce the teaser for the film, and it's a beautiful thing to behold. Last year, the film's Director of Photography, Ben Davis (whose past work includes Guardians of the Galaxy and Stardust) described the look and feel of Doctor Strange as "Marvel's Fantasia," and the first teaser certainly shows that, with a side of Christopher Nolan's Inception.

As Movie Pilot reports, a few concepts for this film have already appeared in the MCU: last year, Ant-Man introduced the Quantum Realm and in the early weeks of 2016, season 2 of semi prequel show Agent Carter dealt with Darkforce, though it was referred to as Zero Matter during the ABC series.

In any case, the new teaser is full of goodies, including the first look at the film's gender-swapped version of The Ancient One, played by Swinton -- and she's bald, too.

We also get a few seconds of Rachel McAdams as part of the medical crew that tends to Strange after his accident (it seems like she will be playing another MCU nurse, like Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple in Netflix) and there's also a first glimpse of Chiwetel Ejiofor's Baron Mordo.

Doctor Strange will hit theaters on November 4, 2016.
