Known as Leonardo DiCaprio's ex-girlfriend in early modeling career, the Grown Ups 2 actress explains why she has ditched the fashion industry. Now model Erin Heatherton is leaving the famous fashion runway behind as she takes off her wings as a Victoria's Secret Angel.
According to Sports Illustrated, the two-time swimsuit has parted with the major lingerie retailer. The 27-year-old beauty has had struggles with body image and has been open about felling like a failure in her early career. Gaining confidence and becoming self-reliant, Heatherton took a bold step and has stepped away from the famous fashion runway.
In an interview with Motto, from the editors of Time, the 6′ 0″ supermodel reveals the problems she had to face about being asked to lose weight ,especially while eating a healthy diet and exercising twice a day. The bombshell had previously appeared in the Fashion Show from 2008 to 2013
The Skokie, Illinois native is quoted as saying, "I was really depressed because I was working so hard and I felt like my body was resisting me. And I got to a point where one night I got home from a workout and I remember staring at my food and thinking maybe I should just not eat."
On her official Instagram account, Heatherton describes her journey of self-love and acceptance isn't about burning bridges though. I regret that my words, regarding my personal struggle, have been wrongly lost and spun into a seemingly contentious relationship between myself and VS. This is not true nor is it my intention."
