After the first few episodes of the fifth season of Game of Thrones leaked last year, HBO decided not to release any previews ahead for the press to review, so this year everyone's watching what's happening in Westeros at the same time -- except for the top man at the White House! HBO producers have recently revealed that President Barack Obama got the first Season 6 episodes beforehand.

Last Sunday, the cast and crew of the hit show attended season 6's world premiere in Hollywood, and HBO had its own live stream of the major event on Facebook, hosted by Veronica Belmont. In the red carpet, showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss spoke about one of the show's most famous fans -- one who's earned himself the privilege of seeing the season ahead of time, namely the President.

When asked if they'd had any moment where they thought they'd "made it" with the show, the duo responded it was the time when Obama asked them to get advanced copies of the upcoming season.

"I think, for both of us, finding out the President wanted advanced copies of the episodes was an 'ah-ha' moment," Weiss said. "That was a very strange moment."

Of course, they did end up sending in an unspecified number of episodes from the upcoming season, because "he's the leader of the free world" and they just couldn't say no to the commander-in-chief.

As Entertainment Weekly points out, the President (and whoever is watching the episodes with him in the White House) might be the only one outside of HBO workers who's seen anything from the new season. Still, considering this man holds the launch codes for America's nuclear weapons, it's safe to say he can keep a secret on whether or not Jon Snow's still alive.

Months back, HBO announced they wouldn't send any screeners ahead for critics, partly over leaking concerns and also because this will be the first season after the events of George R. R. Martin's books published so far.

Game of Thrones will premiere its Season 6 on April 24.
