Lamar Odom was among the big names in attendance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 13, for Kobe Bryant's final NBA game. The professional basketball players have maintained a good friendship and now Bryant wants to help his former teammate get his life back on track.

"Bean, what's up. It's your little brother LO. I just want to tell you I love you. You had a great career," Odom said in a video. "I'm proud to say I was right with you, Kobe Bean."

Byrant and Odom have been good friends for years, and Bryant was one of the first people to visit Odom in the hospital after he was found unconscious following an overdose at a Nevada brothel last October.

“Kobe’s work may be done on the court but it’s just beginning off the court,” a source told HollywoodLife. “Kobe’s really invested in Lamar and is vowing to help him get sober. Kobe made the promise to him last night after his final game.”

Odom has made so much progress since being told he may never walk or speak again after his accidental overdose. Now, he’s walking around, going out with friends and family, and finally he’s even speaking publicly again!

Bryant wants nothing but the best for his friend and he and his wife will do anything to make things better for the troubled athlete.

“He told Lamar ‘I got you’ and told him he and Vanessa want to help him," the source added. "Like Khloe, Kobe fears Lamar’s in trouble and could easily slip back into his bad habits and nobody wants that. They shed a few tears and Lamar was thankful for the offer. If there’s one person who can straighten Lamar out, it’s Mamba himself.”
