It's been over 40 years since Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs made tennis history with their Battle of the Sexes encounter, and there's a new way to celebrate the major sporting event: With a movie! Fox has just released the first photo of the upcoming film, which reunited the father-and-daughter duo from Crazy, Stupid, Love: Emma Stone and Steve Carell!

According to Variety, Fox Searchlight has just released the first photo from the Battle of the Sexes movie, and it's a great throwback to the original sports press conference back in the early 1970s. On the new snap, we can see Stone and Carell laughing in front of microphones.

Tennis legend King took to Twitter to reveal a side-by-side comparison of she and Riggs next to Stone and Carell, and the portrayal so far is spot-on!

The film, set to premiere some time in 2017, also stars Elisabeth Shue, Sarah Silverman, Alan Cumming and Austin Stowell, under the direction of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris, the duo behind Little Miss Sunshine, which also starred Carell in one of his first big dramatic roles.

This isn't the first time the famed tennis match, where King was the victor, is fictionalized: back in 2001, ABC released a made-for-television film called When Billie Beat Bobby, starring Ron Silver and Holly Hunter as the famous tennis players. As Yahoo! News reports, however, this will be the first time the iconic 1973 tennis encounter makes it to the big screen.

The film is based on the famed 1973 match where 55-year-old retired Wimbledon champion Riggs challenged King, then 29 and the number 2 tennis player in the world, for an exhibition match even then officially called Battle of the Sexes. Highly publicized, the match was televised and King had a thunderous victory, winning in straight sets.

There's still no release date for The Battle of the Sexes.
