It was an emotional day for The Talk host, Aisha Tyler. The CBS TV personality tried her best to hold back tears while opening up about the trending news of her divorce from her, Jeff Tietjens. "It's pretty frustrating," Tyler admitted during the show on Monday.

"That's a very painful thing to go through and it's also a really painful thing to go through in public," the 45-year-old said. "I'm sure you can imagine it's pretty frustrating to have people talking about your private life who don't know anything about it."

The couple were married for over 20 years, and met back in college in 1994. After getting separated back in January 2015, the former lovebirds tried to keep their private issues out of the spotlight until their divorce was finalized.

"My husband and I met when I was a teenager and I've been with him for more than half of my adult life," she explained. "It's very hard when you love someone very much to also start to realize that maybe you want different things for your lives."

Fighter for her relationship, Tyler said sometimes you just learn that you have to "move on with your lives."

"I don't, not in any way see this relationship as a failure," Tyler continued. "We loved each other passionately and we lived life fully and we're trying to let each other go in the kindest way we possibly can."

Crying she added, "All I want for him is joy and fulfillment in whatever he chooses to do with his life next. He's a wonderful person, he's been my best friend for almost my entire life ... that's what I'm going to say about the relationship and the rest of it is none of your d*mn business!"
