While the picture raised eyebrows, Jo Jo, backed by his own "goons" in a Crave TV video, said about the incident, "I'm not really into the "thug life" of violence," Jo Jo said. "I grew up a good kid," he continued while his friends shouted "leave the lil homie alone", directly in front of the camera.

Simmons continued, "I am not going to talk that gang sh-t," but was interrupted by his friends who start shouting gang affiliations and throwing up their setts. SMH.

The "beef" between Santana and Jo Jo ignited with Juelz's, "Soft" track on his God Will'n mixtape. Jo Jo who was not feeling the line "When it comes to getting that doe bro, I'm Russell Simmons, you Jo Jo," released "Holy Water," coming back at Santana with:

"Now how you gonna mention my uncle Russell / Then disrespect his nephew / The industry forgot you / Fucker, you nothing special/ These niggas hate to love you / Simmons will not let you / Compare your money to my money, boy that's disrespectful."

Following the release of the single Jo Jo Simmons, Skillgang member, Hyneif aught Jo Jo "slippin'" and posted a picture forcing a seemingly scared Simmons to apologize on the phone to Santana.

Rumors are swirling that since then, Simmons's Twitter account has been deleted due to fans making fun of the budding rapper. Thank God, he's not gangster, who knows what could happen as a result of rap beef.
