Did Painkiller Percocet Trigger Prince Rogers Nelson's Death?

A new report has claimed the painkiller Percocet may have triggered the death of Prince Rogers Nelson.

According to the infamous gossip site TMZ, the "I Would Die 4 U" singer apparently overdosed on the drug just a few days before his sudden death.

TMZ claimed that EMTs had to perform a "save shot" at the airport after Prince's private plane made an emergency landing to save his life last week.

Sources in Moline, Illinois told the site that Prince's crew had revealed to the medical officials the singer had taken Percocet after his performance in Atlanta.

Percocet is a painkiller that has a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone, and can be addictive. The Purple Rain star was apparently taking the drug for hip issues. He had surgery back in 2010.

Prince also appeared at a Walgreens multiple times before he died. He was spotted at the store just a few hours before he died. Witnesses claimed that he was acting a bit unsettled while waiting on someone to give him his medication.

According to CNN, no details to what caused Prince's death will be released until a full autopsy is performed. The Midwest Medical Examiner's Office in Ramsey, Minnesota, revealed that it would probably be days or even weeks before the results are revealed.

Both of Prince's ex-wives Mayte Garcia and Manuela Testolini remembered the late icon along with many celebrities like Alicia Keys, Erykah Badu, Lenny Kravitz and many more.

Such sad news this week. It's been tough. We also loss former WWE wrestler Chyna and former basketball great Dwayne "Pearl" Washington.
