Prince’s Paramount Theatre Fans Pay Tribute To “Purple Rain” Singer in An Amazing Way

Prince's death brought the grey clouds not only to the musical industry, but also to the entire entertainment field. The legendary singer who gave the world, "Let's Go Crazy," died under mysterious circumstances. To pay their tribute to the singer, thousands of fans recently gathered at Paramount Theatre where  they watched Purple Rain movie.

In the last three decades, the the workaholic singer has sold more than 100 million records and has owned 39 solo albums. It was back in 1982, when his "1999" was released, which made him a sensational star.

NBC29 reported that Prince's fans gathered at Paramount Theatre, where the hallway was lit up with the purple lights along with the fans wearing the matching attires. Fans of "I Would Die 4 U" singer, gave their tribute to the legendary artist by watching Purple Rain.

"To celebrate his life, and his accomplishments, and what he gave to the musical community! To everybody! I mean, like he really, the way that he was able to put together notes and instruments...I mean it really was kind of a remarkable thing," one of Prince's fan said.

Purple Rain movie was directed by Albert Magnoli and inspired from the soundtrack and studio album of the same name. Along with Prince, the film featured Apollonia Kotero, Morris Day, Olga Karlatos and Clarence Williams III. The film's featured Prince playing a quassi-biographical person called The Kid. The Purple Rain movie was made to showcase Prince's acting talent and hence featured several of his extended concerts.

Purple Rain went on to won an Academy Award for Best Original Song Score, and currently it's the last feature film to receive the award for the soundtrack of the same name.

Not only millions of Prince's fan are still mourning for their lost, but also his wife, ex-girlfriends and friends have taken to their social media handles to express their grief. Carmen Elctra, who signed a recording deal with Prince in her debuting days, posted a heartfelt picture on her Instagram account stating  she still cannot believe that the world has lost such a gem.
