Fans of Officer Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and Chief Bogo should be very excited to hear that after the enormous success of Zootopia, film's co-director Rich Moore has hinted about a possible sequel and if recent reports are to be believed, then Zootopia 2 will follow the relationship between Mr. and Mrs. Hopps.

According to Movie Pilot, Moore recently took to Twitter to respond to a fan's post. A fan asked Moore about Zootopia 2 and the director replied, "We had a scene like that with Mr and Mrs Hopps in an earlier version...it truly deserves its own story." The message from the co-director of the film clearly hints of a possible sequel and, it also hints that they are going to show more of Mr. Hopps' relationship with Mrs. Hopps.

Not only do the fans of Zootopia want a sequel, the voice behind Judy Hopps, Ginnifer Goodwin, appears to want Zootopia 2 to happen as well. Goodwin was reported by Cinema Blend as saying:

"You and I know what happens at the end of the movie, and I would like them along on this adventure in their new roles. But because they are playing new roles, I would also like to see Nick [Wilde] have to be the one to convince Judy [Hopps] that the world is worth fighting for."

Disney's Zootopia was released on Feb. 17, 2016 and was directed by Byron Howard and Rich Moore. The animated film featured the voices of Jason Bateman, Idris Elba, Goodwin, J.K. Simmons, Octavia Spencer and Shakira. The film followed the partnership between a rabbit police officer and a red fox con artist as they uncovered a conspiracy that involved the mysterious disappearance of animals/civilians within their mammalian metropolis. The film was made with a budget of $150 million dollars and according to box-office mojo, it earned $907.1 million, making it Disney's third consecutive hit after Frozen and Big Hero 6.

There is no official confirmation from Disney that they have started working on Zootopia 2, but like Frozen 2, we think that they are going to do it in their own time.
