"Arrow" S04E19 "Canary Cry" Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards Premiere Recap

The CW Network continues Season 4 of Arrow. In episode 19, Canary Cry, can Stephen Amell/Green Arrow (Oliver Queen) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards ) rwin the fight against Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough). 

In the flashback, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) gives a speech during Tommy's funeral. She then sees Oliver hiding in the back and covers up for him. 

In the present, Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) cries as he sees his daughter dead. Quentin walks away in tears. In the arrow cave, Diggle (David Ramsey) is unsure of his brother's motivation. The news is  all about Laurel's death and Damien's manhunt. Elsewhere, the Black Canary interrupts a group of dealers and steals their guns. 

The Arrow team looks at the surveillance team, wondering who the Black Canary. land wants to truly believe its his daughter. Quentin and Oliver see Laurel's corpse in the morgue; which answers their question. 

In the flashback, Oliver visits Laurel after Tommy's funeral. He stayed up all night coming up with Tommy's eulogy. Oliver failed his best friend after returning from the island. 

In the present, Felicity notices Diggle is still angry at himself. Diggle blames himself for Laurel's death. Thea (Willa Holland) is out on her date when Alex Davis is attacked by the Black Canary. Thea stops the imposter from shooting Alex but she manages to escape.

The Green Arrow meets with the Black Canary, who blames him for leaving at Reddington. Back at the arrow cave,  the teams learns that she was one of Hive's prisoners and drugged at Reddington Industries.

Packing his bags, Lance wants to take his daughter to the Lazarus pit. Unfortunately, Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law) cannot help him. With Oliver, Felicity realizes she should have been there for the team. 

Elsewhere, Diggle holds Damien's wife hostage at gunpoint. Diggle slaps around the Mayor and asks for his brother's whereabouts. The Green Arrows stops him from taking the shot. The Green Arrow reminds John that this isn't who he is.

With the rise of vigilante acts, the Mayor issues arrest warrants, including one for the Black Canary. Nyssa then meets with Oliver and warns him about Lance. In the flashback, Oliver and Laurel look at their photos with Tommy. The two kiss by the fireplace.

Lance tells Oliver that Laurel has always been there; she's his rock. Quentin cannot continue on without her and breaks down. Felicity and Diggle then get an alarm, the Black Canary is going after Damien's wife.  

During the Mayor's benefit, the Black canary shoots down the guards and holds a gun to her head. The Green Arrow convinces her to stop and lets her walk away. As the police swarm in, the Green Arrow escapes through the glass ceiling. 

Quentin and his wife visit Laurel's funeral as Oliver gives her eulogy. He reveals Laurel was the Black Canary and she wanted to save the city.  

In the flashback, Oliver gives up his photograph to Laurel before he leaves to the island.

In the present, Oliver tells Barry that he will kill Damien Dhark. Felicity refuses to let Oliver give up; he has to find a way no.
