Jessica Sanchez 'Glee': Set Photos Of 'American Idol' Runner-Up as Frida Romero Posted To Instagram, Sanchez Snuggles With Darren Criss

Blujays are patiently awaiting Jessica Sanchez's two-episode arc on FOX's musical-comedy juggernaut Glee. Sanchez understands her fan's anticipation and has posted the first photos of herself on the set to her Instagram. BONUS? The American Idol runner-up is snuggling with Darren Criss who plays Blaine on the show.

While little is known about Sanchez's part in the unfolding season, what we do know is that her character's name will be Frida Romero, a "legendary diva" from a rival glee club called the "HoosierDaddies." Romero's club comes from Indianapolis and will face off with the New Directions.

According to reports gleaned by ABS-CBN, Sanchez will perform DJ Zedd's "Clarity" in the season finale.

Glee showrunner Ryan Murphy told the Manila Bulletin that, if he had had his way, he would have cast Sanchez in every episode this year.

"Well, when you have a voice like that, we wanted her to be in every episode this year. But she couldn't because of the tour. She is doing an album so we worked it out that she will probably do two or three episodes so that will probably be 16, 17, 18 when we get into the regionals competition," he said.

"I would imagine she is going to be the big voice star of another competing choir who gives them a run for their money," Murphy added.

There is no word on how Sanchez will interact with the cast member's but here's hoping that this pic means Sanchez will have a bit of cross-talk and competition with Blaine.

Sanchez will appear first in the April 25 episode of Glee before factoring into the May 9 season finale. If this rival group is going to be featured across two episodes, expect a serious showdown between Sanchez and the cast.
