USA Network has announced their new weekly half-hour competition, entitled First Impressions. Saturday Night Live alum Dana Carvey joins host Freddie Prinze Jr.  and guest Steve Carrell to pick America's best impressionist during its official premiere.

As we previously mentioned, from Renegade 83 and Gaspin Media, Carvey, Jeff Gaspin, David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe will serve as executive producers. The half-hour reality show is described as a battle of impressionists. The Wayne's World comedian will become the expert mentor to the contestants. The unscripted series pits America's best amateur impressionists against each other in a battle of celebrity impressions. The studio audience will make the ultimate decision and crown a winner each week.

The celebrity guests include Jay Leno, Kevin Nealon, Yvette Nicole Brown, Tom Arnold, Jon Lovitz and Kate Flannery. Not only will these celebrities cheer them up, they will as coach the aspiring impressionists through a variety of challenges.

According to Detroit Free Press, First Impressions will pit three aspiring impersonators against one another. Each impersonator will be put through improv challenges each week. Each episode will present one winner, who will receive $10,000 as a prize, chosen by the studio audience.

As Variety mentions, Carvey made his way back on Saturday as the Church Lady. Enid Strict took down Donald Trump a peg or two, stating, "Donnie, there are those who say you're not qualified, and that's not true. I remember a 'Celebrity Apprentice' episode where Gary Busey didn't sell enough pancakes and you just said 'You're fired.' And I just thought right then and there, 'Give this man the nuclear codes.'"

First Impressions will air on the USA Network on Tuesday, May 10, at 10:30pm. Fans can catch-up on all of Dana Carvey's greatest hits from Wayne's World to SNL  on NBCU's new digital subscription comedy service, Seeso. Highlights from First Impressions can also be seen on Seeso.
