NBC's Blindspot S01E21: Of Whose Uneasy Route Jaimie Alexander/Jane Doe Premiere Recap

NBC continues with the midseason premiere of Blindspot. In episode 21, will Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander) and Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) be able to solve another piece of the tattoo map in Of Whose Uneasy Route?

As Bethany examines the crime scene, she returns back to headquarters and finds an CSU unit taking own her office. Matthew Weitz, from the US Attorney's office, has been put in charge of the case. Bethany wonders if she has been setup as she spots Tasha speaking to Weitz. 

Elsewhere, Kurt and his sister are dealing with their father's inevitable death. Jane and Patteron end up boxing together. Jane wonders if she should have her tattoos removed as Kurt goes in to see Dr. Borden. Kurt though has a difficult time opening up to Dr. Borden.

Bethany ends up interrogating Tasha about her history with Weitz.Reade ends up in the elevator with Kurt's sister when the lockdown starts happening. Jane and Patterson find themselves stuck in the gym with no cell reception. Tasha and Bethany are quick to realize that the lockdown isn't a drill. 

Patterson and Jane realize that the security system inside the building has been hacked into. While the two end up using the ventilation vents, Kurt mentions his nephew to Dr. Borden. How does a 10 year old kid deal with death? Jane and Patterson suddenly interrupt the bonding experience and drop into the room. 

As the others try to make their escape, Patterson discovers someone has been controlling the servers. With the hackers downloading undercover agent profiles, Patterson and Kurt work together to the take down the signal. The hacker couple though are one step ahead of them. Edgar and his ex are having relationship issues since their breakup. Bethany listens to Tasha as she descries her future. Does Tasha secretly want Bethany's job? 

After Kurt starts a fire, Patterson makes her way to the cables and starts cutting wires, but the downloading still continues. With the hackers inside the building, the couple decides to mess with the air supply. Tasha finally admits to Bethany she lied before and reveals Weitz approached her about a corruption case. Bethany has even raised suspicions because pf her secret meetings with Carter.

As Kurt and others fight their way through to the server room, the hackers now realize they have to split. Kurt manages to take down one of the hackers, who happens to be a janitor. As the second hacker messes around with the elevator system, the team realizes Edgar and Kurt's sister are in danger. 

It takes Bethany and Tasha to take down the hacker but he has already started the timer. After Tasha shoots him dead, it's a race against time to save her friends in the elevator. With everyone saved, Kurt's sister reveals to Edgar that she's moving. 

The team witnessed as Weitz places Bethany under arrest for the murder of Alex. While in the interrogation room, Bethany learns Alex was really Donna, a disgraced private investigator turned fixer. Pinning Carter and Alex's murders on Bethany, Weitz says all the evidence, including the money she gave to Sofia, points back to her.

But Jane knows Oscar killed Carter. Oscar handed Jane the pen and thumb drive to frame Bethany for a murder she didn't commit.
