The CW Network continues with Season 2 finale of The Flash. In the upcoming Season 3, after his confrontation with super-villain Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) "lose hope" after Henry Allen (John Wesley Shipp)'s shocking twist?

In our previous recap, though Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Jesse (Violett Beane) survived the blast, Iris witnessed the arrival of zombie Girder. While Girder was on a destructive path, Barry found himself stuck in the Speed Force. After dealing with the tragic death of his mother, Barry was ready to return home. After hearing Iris' voice, The Flash returned better than ever, rescuing her from zombie Girder.

In our recent recap, Zoom unleashed his army of evil metahumans upon Central City. Even with the return of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker), the Flash couldn't shake off the shock of seeing his dead friend, Laurel Lance, as Black Siren. With his team by his side, the Flash sent a pulse that struck down every Earth-2 metahuman. Barry couldn't save his own father as Zoom murdered Henry Allen right in front of him.

In a video interview with Comic Book, Gustin teases if Barry lose his sense of optimism and hope after his father's death, "I don't know what's going to happen in season 3, how they're going to write it, where they're going to go, but [Greg] Berlanti and [Andrew] Kreisberg and Geoff [Johns] -- I actually don't know how closely Geoff's involved anymore -- but all those guys know 'The Flash' better than anybody, and they know that he has to have the optimism."

The Glee actor explains, "He lost his mom at a young age, he saw her right in front of him, then went back in time and watched it again... he'll find a way to deal with this. He's not going to let it ruin him. It's going to be hard to come back from this one, but he'll stay optimistic Barry."

The Flash continues on the CW for 1 more Tuesday at 8pm.
