'The Flash' Season 3 Spoilers: Will Grant Gustin/Barry Allen "Lose" Harrison Wells?

The CW Network aired the Season 2 finale of The Flash. In the upcoming Season 3, after his confrontation with super-villain Zoom (voiced by Tony Todd), will Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) end up losing Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and gaining Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher)?

In our previous recap, though Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) and Jesse (Violett Beane) survived the blast, Barry felt invincibe after rescuing Iris (Candice Patton) from zombie Girder and Black Siren (Katie Cassidy). Unfortunately, nothing could prepare Barry when Zoom/Hunter Zolomon (Teddy Sears) killes his father, Henry (John Wesley Shipp).

In our finale recap, after his father's funeral, Barry was breathed by his friends as he was thrown in a prison cell to keep him from killing Zoom. With his father held prisoner by Zoom, Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) helped Barry escape to race against his enemy. The Flash saved Earth-2 after defeating Zoom, who was taken away by the Time Wraiths. Barry was in shock when he saw his father's doppelgänger, the real Jay Garrick (Shipp).

After kissing the love of his life, Barry left Iris and ran to the past. After saving his mother from death, Barry erased their timeline together.

According to Entertainment Weekly's Spoiler Room, "Details on next season are being kept tightly under wraps, but I can tell you that Tom Cavanagh will be back as a series regular for season 3. Consider this: If the show does indeed move forward with Flashpoint, then the Reverse-Flash never killed Earth-1 Harrison Wells and his wife, meaning we could see the original Wells next season. Maybe. Hopefully."
