Game of Thrones S06E07: The Broken Man Maisie Williams, Kit Harington Premiere Recap

HBO continues with the premiere of the acclaimed Season 6 of Game of Thrones. In episode 7, The Broken Man, Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) fight for control and power in author George R.R. Martin's ongoing epic saga.

As a group of men are working out in the middle of the field., The Hound (Rory McCann) is alive and well, working on an honest living.

As The Hound chops wood, he remembers being defeated by a woman. During lunch, The Hound eat and sit by himself. He needs a reason to be alive; God is not done with him. There is something planned for him. The Hound is surprised when he gets recognized. The gods have already punished him.

High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) meets with Margaery (Natalie Dormer) at her chamber. The two talk before her ceremony. Olenna Tyrell (Dianna Rigg) isn't too happy about the deal she has made with the High Sparrow. What must she do for king and country? Making the sacrifices for her brother, Margaery doesn't want her grandmother around.

Margaery slips her grandmother a note; she is making her own plans now. Elsewhere, the Willings are debating about whether or not they should fight with Jon Snow. In the end, because Snow as died for them, the Wildings offer their allegiance to him. As a sign of truce, Snow shakes the hand of their leader.

Cersei (Lena Headey) meets with Olenna Tyrell, blaming each other for their mistakes. Cersei knows they need each other. The only truth she knows is that she loves her son and his wife. Olenna has to leave before the High Sparrow puts her in a cell. She has no joy being in this misery, telling Cersei to get out while she can.

Elsewhere, Jamie Lannster (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) is rounding up his army. Bronn (Jerome Flynn) and Jamie witness a supposed hanging in front of a castle. The king of the castle refuses to yield to the rebels.  

Jon Snow, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner), and Davos (Liam Cunningham) meet the leaders of Bear Island, who are run by a little girl. Rob is gone but House Stark is not. The Little girl wants to know why she should sacrifice her people for them. Davos steps in and talks to her like a father. He reminds her the dead are coming. 

Jon can only get 62 of their strongest me though. Jamie meets with Blackfish (Clive Russell) at a bridge, offers a truce, and gets rejected. As Sansa loses the allegiance of a House, Theon (Alfie Allen) is surrounded by naked women. His sister comforts him, bringing him back up.

In the snowy mountains, Jon and Sansa argue argue. She takes a chance writing a letter. The Hound learns it's never too late to come back as corrupt soldiers arrive. Arya throws money around to get a ship to bring her back home. After getting stabbed, Arya drops into the waters.  

Arya walks through the crowd scared and bleeding. The Hounds finds everyone dead at his village.
