A few weeks ago, David Ayer's movie adaptation of DC's Suicide Squad was released in cinemas everywhere and as of now, the movie featuring the famous and not-so-famous super-villains in the DC Universe has overtaken Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy in terms of box office sales. Much like the reactions to a previous DC film, Batman vs. Superman, the movie garnered mixed reviews. The critics hated it, but the general public thought otherwise, therefore bringing about the huge success of the movie. However, none of the hate extended to the movie's soundtrack which is sweeping the charts.

Whether you loved it or hated the movie, it is undeniable that the soundtrack is well thought of universally. This is obvious as it continues to top the charts, becoming the best-selling album this week, according to the Bitbag. The soundtrack includes songs from Skrillex and Rick Ross, Twenty One Pilots, Skylar Grey and a rework of Queen's iconic "Bohemian Rhapsody," performed by Panic! At The Disco.

The Suicide Squad soundtrack is currently on its second week of being the number 1 best-selling album on Billboard, and it also holds the distinction of being the first soundtrack that topped the Billboard 200 chart. To add to that, it is also one of the most-streamed albums online, with 32.6 million streams, making it overtake the equally praised soundtrack from the Fifty Shades of Grey movie.

According to techtimes, Atlantic Records' President of Film and TV, Kevin Weaver, talked about how the soundtrack was put together. He said, "We were fortunate enough to spend a lot of time with the director of the film, David Ayer....We started to identify with various music cues, what the sound of the movie was going to be, what we all felt the needs of the picture were. As we did that, we started evaluating a list of artists we liked and thought would be meaningful contributors and speak to the needs of the picture.."
