‘Steven Universe’ Season 4: Gem Harvest confirmed to air on Thanksgiving Day; Plot leaked?

'Steven Universe' fans will surely thank their lucky gems as the release date of the show's fourth season has been finally revealed. Reports said that Season 4 of the popular Cartoon Network show will air on Thanksgiving Day. And that is not all. Short shorts will be released too, featuring Steven and all his friends complete with titles.

New episodes confirmed

The most recent 'Steven Universe' episode was 'Onion's Gang' which aired September 15. In the episode, weird Onion took Steven into the woods so that he could meet his friends. In the woods, Steven met Onion's pals who were apparently also named after food: Soup, Pinto, Squash and Garbanzo; Steven had a fun day with all his new found friends.

'Gem Harvest' is the next episode which will air November 24 on Thanksgiving Day.  Gem Harvest' was announced to be released before 'Onion's Gang' but was pushed farther back making fans wonder if this was really a real episode of 'Steven Universe' Season 4.

Fans of the show are now speculating what Gem Harvest would be about. A thread on Reddit was about the episode's possible plot and most fans agreed that it could feature a scene of a Thanksgiving dinner that was held in the past. It would probably be about Beach City people from the past, celebrating Thanksgiving with the Crystal Gems.

Short Shorts for Season 4

Creators of 'Steven Universe' have not confirmed any plot for 'Gem Harvest' yet but have released the titles of the short episodes for Season 4. The titles are 'Lion Patiently Narrates Steven Cooking,' 'Crying Breakfast Friends Reaction Vid,' 'Gem Karaoke,' 'Video Chat with Peridot and Lapis'' and 'Steven's Song Time.'

There are no air dates for these short episodes but a report confirmed that these five shorts will make up an episode of 'Steven Universe' Season 4.

Episode leaks and schedules

'Steven Universe' fans rely on Reddit for episode guides and schedules for the show. According to a report, followers of the show prefer Reddit over Cartoon Network because it only posts the release date of the episode three days before it airs. Reddit threads also allowed fans to speculate, explore possible plots and discuss episodes with fellow followers of the show.

It was also in Reddit where fans expressed their frustration over the non-airing of 'Gem Harvest when it was announced that it would be the next 'Steven Universe' episode. After 'Onion's Gang' was aired, fans were able to breathe a sigh of relief considering that they have 'Gem Harvest' to look forward to in Steven Season 4.
